Piece of crap…. rocks

Neil Young is for many an acquired taste and when the guitar solos rock out even more so. But one gem overlooked, in that I have never heard it on the radio, is a song from the 1994 album Sleeps with Angels. One of his records with Crazy Horse, the media coverage and critical reviews often focuses on its commentary on the death of Kurt Cobain and yes that allusion is clearly on some of the songs.

But in an environment of online shopping and endless ads some of the lines seem even more pertinent.

Bought it on the phone

Now you’re home alone

It’s a piece of crap
